This one-square-meter handwoven rug is a refined and authentic example of rural Bijar Afshar weaving and, despite its small size, stands at a high level in terms of quality and artistic identity. The combination of the Lachak–Toranj layout with the Herati (Mahi) pattern creates an orderly yet dynamic structure, reflecting the long-standing design traditions of this region. The cream-colored field brightens the space and, when paired with a red border, forms a pleasant and classic contrast that enhances the visual impact of the motifs. The high knot density of 50 raj, achieved through fine weaving, ensures both the delicacy of the patterns and the durability of the rug. The use of a wool pile with cotton warp and weft provides a soft and comfortable texture while maintaining the strength required for regular use. Measuring 105 × 77 cm with an area of 0.81 square meters, this rug is an excellent choice for small spaces, entryways, beside furniture, or decorative applications, adding a warm and authentic presence to its surroundings.
