This old handmade carpet, approximately 40 years old, is an authentic example of rural weavings from the Hamadan region, created in the traditional Mehraban design, whose visual identity is based on floral corner-and-medallion (Lachak–Toranj) motifs. Measuring 214 × 130 cm with an area of 2.79 square meters, it represents a balanced choice for living rooms, reception areas, or classic interior layouts. The rectangular structure with a knot density of 30 raj provides a regular and reliable weave, notable both for durability and for the clear readability of its motifs. With an average weight of about 4 kilograms per square meter and a total weight close to 12 kilograms, the carpet demonstrates suitable density and long-term structural strength. The wool pile combined with cotton warp and weft creates a practical and pleasant texture, while the navy-blue field contrasted with a madder-red border produces a warm, deep appearance well suited to traditional and semi-classical décor.
