The Lachak–Toranj (corner-and-medallion) composition, based on a disciplined geometric order, creates a strong visual center, while the warm brown field conveys the earthy and natural character of local interiors. With a fully symmetrical structure and a visual language characteristic of Nahavand weavings, this rug stands as a distinguished example of layered geometric motifs. The central medallion is designed as a stepped polygon, articulated through angular and broken lines that emphasize solidity and order. Surrounding it, rows of smaller geometric motifs are repeated in a grid-like arrangement, generating a steady and continuous rhythm across the field. The dominant dark brown background creates depth and warmth, complemented by accents of brick red, cream, and soft blue, resulting in a balanced and visually appealing contrast. The borders, composed of frame-like patterns and recurring symbolic elements, provide a firm enclosure and reinforce the overall cohesion of the design. Rather than relying on dense ornamentation, this rug is defined by precise geometry and calculated repetition, reflecting the rural identity, structured mindset, and symbolic vision of its weaver. In the lower section, a lion motif appears in a fully symbolic and geometric form—rendered not through naturalistic detail but through simplified, angular lines—serving as a carrier of strength, guardianship, and courage. Bird motifs are also present within the field, introducing movement and vitality within the rigid geometric structure. The brick-red border creates a controlled contrast that clearly frames the composition and enhances legibility.
