This old 2.5-meter handwoven rug is an authentic example of rural weavings from the Tajabad area of Hamedan. With an age of about 40 years, it successfully preserves both historical identity and contemporary usability. Its exact dimensions of 208 × 128 cm and an area of 2.67 square meters make it a suitable choice for living rooms, study spaces, or traditional interior arrangements. The structure is woven with a knot density of 30 raj, reflecting an orderly texture and reliable durability. An approximate weight of 11 kg, with an average of 4 kg per square meter, creates a balanced combination of density, longevity, and ease of handling. The corner-medallion (lachak-toranj) design with a mahi motif, set against a navy blue field, presents a dynamic yet classic appearance, while the cream-colored border enhances visual balance and motif clarity. The use of a wool pile with cotton warp and weft ensures the quality and lasting performance of this valuable rural rug.
