This old handwoven Zanjan carpet, a rural piece with approximately 40 years of age and dimensions of 239 × 146 centimeters (3.49 square meters), presents a magnificent expression of Zanjan’s authentic craftsmanship. The 30-raj weave, combined with a soft wool pile and fully cotton warp and weft, results in a weight of nearly 14 kilograms, indicating high density and durability. The medallion-and-corner design with precise and dynamic geometric motifs, set on a deep navy ground and framed by a clear blue border, creates a harmonious and visually striking composition, enhanced by stable chemical dyeing. A large octagonal central medallion and four corner sections are all adorned with delicate, repeating fish motifs. This three-and-a-half-meter carpet is an impeccable choice for spacious reception areas or modern–traditional interiors, where the natural warmth of wool and the authentic Iranian spirit will remain a lasting focal point of beauty and tranquility.
