Augmented Reality LinkThis antique three-meter handwoven carpet, measuring 212 × 152 cm with a surface area of 3.23 square meters, is an authentic example of rural weaving from the Nahavand region, with an age of approximately 40 years, clearly reflecting the area’s local identity. Its structure is woven with a 30-raj density, allowing the geometric Lachak-Toranj motifs to appear with clarity, order, and strong visual definition. At both the lower and upper sections of the field, lion motifs are depicted, symbolizing protection and strength in local beliefs. In addition, birds are woven on either side of the central medallion in mirrored form, representing freedom and blessing. The brown ground creates a warm and deep atmosphere, which, combined with the brick-red border, results in a powerful and striking color composition. Wool pile together with cotton warp and weft provides a durable, flexible structure suitable for continuous use and ensures the carpet’s structural integrity. An approximate weight of 13 kg and a density of about 4 kg per square meter indicate notable durability and solid construction.
