This antique four-meter handwoven carpet, measuring 279 × 140 cm with a surface area of 3.91 square meters, is a distinguished example of rural weaving from the Zanjan region, featuring the authentic Hupa design, and dating back approximately 40 years. The carpet is woven with a 30-raj structure, a density that has enabled the geometric Lachak-Toranj motifs to appear with orderly, deliberate, and solid lines. The deep navy-blue field adds significant visual depth, and when combined with the blue border, creates a calm yet authoritative atmosphere that harmonizes well with both classic interiors and contemporary spaces. The use of wool pile alongside cotton warp and weft results in a flexible, visually appealing, and durable structure. An approximate weight of 16 kg and a density of about 4 kg per square meter reflect the carpet’s high structural integrity, durability, and construction quality, making it a reliable choice for large and high-traffic areas.
