Augmented Reality LinkThis nomadic handwoven carpet, with a history of nearly 40 years, is an authentic reflection of the weaving traditions of Fars Province and the visual language common to Shiraz textiles. Measuring 297 × 190 cm with an area of 5.65 m², it falls into the five-and-a-half-meter category and creates a striking presence in spacious living areas or open-plan interiors. The rectangular structure with a 30-raj weave provides both structural strength and clear motif legibility. A multi-medallion design rendered in a geometric idiom establishes a regular, dynamic rhythm, guiding visual movement from the center outward. The field features flowering shrubs and foliage motifs. Owing to the horse-head motif placed along the vertical columns of the field, this type is also known in the carpet market as “Kalleh Asbi” (horse-head carpet). The lacquer-red ground conveys warmth and energy, complemented by a polychrome border that adds vibrancy and variety. Wool used in the pile and warp, together with a cotton weft, results in a durable, long-lasting structure; the approximate weight of 17 kg indicates appropriate density and sound construction quality.
